Age Groups

  • Venti: 2013/14 (2013/01/01 to 2014/12/31)
  • Grande: 2015/16 (2015/01/01 to 2016/12/31)
  • Tall: 2017/18 (2017/01/01 to 2018/12/31)

Rules

  • Co-ed — boys and girls play together in each age group.
  • 5v5, 15-minute halves
  • No goal keeper
  • Small scrimmage-style POD goals
  • Field defenders cannot stand or loiter within 3 feet (1 meter) of their own goal.
  • 3 game minimum
  • 1st & 2nd place awards

Roster Rules

  • Roster minimum 5 players, maximum 8 players (because we have a cap on number of medals) 😂
  • The age groups are based on calendar year. The reason is, we (organizers like Juan Wang) do not like the age group change. 😊
  • Each team may roster 1 player from the older age group, for friendship/team bonding only (e.g. a friend split apart by the school-year age cutoff) — not to boost competitiveness.
  • All-girls teams are welcome to move down to a lower age group for more fun, if they'd like to — just contact the organizers to arrange it.
